For Vacheron Constantin the beauty doesn’t stop with the watch movements, it’s part of their design too.  This example from the mid 40’s encapsulated this brilliantly using key design, the teardrop lugs. In the 1950’s and 40’s the creative vision of Vacheron Constantin moved towards watchcase design. In this period Vacheron offered several types of lug designs including scroll, flame, teardrop, horn, and butterfly lugs.
